Aversion

Every hex has a crack.
Aversion isn’t flashy. It doesn’t burn or freeze. It just… breaks the spell.
Old witches call it the Cold Palm — you press light into someone’s chest and shatter whatever whisper is sitting there. In the alleys, kids use cheap charms from the 24h apothecary to cast Charmed. Street cleaners, therapists, and tired moms use Aversion to clean it off.
The spell looks like purple glass shattering. The victim blinks, shakes their head, and suddenly remembers why they came here. The charm is gone. Sometimes they get angry about it.
You can cast it on yourself in the bathroom mirror when your thoughts feel too sweet to be yours. You can cast it on your friend when they’re staring too long at someone who just hit them with Witch Gaze.
No skill required. Just intent. That’s why artifacts love it — a lavender sprig, a pentacle pendant, a chipped moon pin. They hold the memory of breaking free.
“If you feel too happy for no reason, wash your face. If that doesn’t help, find me.” – Note taped to a fridge in District 3
