Blight

Blight witch spell

SPOIL makes a bottle. BLIGHT doesn’t need one.

This is the same rot, but raw. No flask, no brewing, no artifact. You look at someone and let the city’s sickness flow through you into them.

Blight was born in the trash alleys behind the Pawn shops. Witches noticed that nothing grows there, even weeds die. That death is a current, and you can tap it. The hand glows green-black, thorny vines of pure miasma shoot out, and they dig into the target’s chest. Tiny skulls form in the smoke — not real souls, just the spell remembering every rat, every rotten thing it has touched.

The victim doesn’t just feel nauseous. Their energy turns against them. Spells cost more, hits land weaker, everything feels heavy and wrong. That’s the SICK state. Unlike Spoil’s Hydra’s Blood, this is immediate, in the fight, 1 Action Point and it’s done.

Cumulators use it — the more rot you’ve stored, the more stable it hits. 10% to land, 20% if you really charge it. Artifacts can trigger it too, a cursed ring, a dead branch.

“Cover your mouth when she does it. Not because it’s contagious. Because it smells like the dumpster behind the veil.”
