Death Claw

Vampires don’t disappear. You just stop being able to see them.
Death Claw is not an attack. It’s a disappearing act. Dark side only, vampire only — human witches can read about it, but they can’t feel it.
You have to let the bat inside you stretch. 3 Action Points, 9-25 energy, Modulation skill 33% (43% stable) — you modulate your own outline until light slips off. The game calls it Blurred. In lore, street kids call it “the smear.” You look at a vampire casting it and your eyes refuse to focus, like trying to read in a dream.
The claw is the tell. Black nails elongate, purple smoke leaks from the cuticles, tiny bats made of shadow flicker around your hands. You can be hit, but you shouldn’t be. You cast it only on yourself — vampire form — no artifacts, no innates. Just you and the hunger.
Old vampires say the first Death Claw was cast by accident, when a vampire tried to hide from sunrise in an alley and the alley hid him back.
“If you see the claws, you already missed.”
